Introduction and release dates

The latest Google Wallet update for Wear OS has been released for some users in the US with the Pixel Watch 2. The timing for when the feature to display boarding passes will be available on other models of smartwatches with Wear OS is currently unknown.

Wear OS Overview

Google developed the Wear OS platform for smartwatches, which is based on a modified version of the Android operating system. It is utilized by various manufacturers like Fossil, Mobvoi, Garmin, and Samsung.

Google’s wearable technology platform was created to connect with smartphones, allowing data exchange and additional functions through mobile processing and apps. A key feature of smartwatches using Wear OS is the integration of Google Assistant, a virtual voice assistant designed to respond to user commands captured by the device’s microphone.
