Following Sony’s recent PlayStation update, access to the console system was completely restricted for Cronus peripherals. These products enable players to enhance their performance in competitive shooting games by connecting a USB keyboard and mouse to the PlayStation. As a result, gameplay on PlayStation servers may become unfair.
Check out this new PS5 update, Xbox.

Cronus’s products for PS5 becoming widespread led to a significant decline in game performance for titles like Call of Duty, Overwatch, and Battlefield. Using a mouse makes it easier to swiftly adjust the camera angle, as well as enhance aiming accuracy and shooting speed.

Cronus published an announcement on its website directed at PS5 console owners. The company stated:
There is an issue with Zen and PS5 where, starting on January 24, users will be prompted to update to version 24.01-08.60.00. After updating, Zen will be unable to connect to PS5 without experiencing disconnection.
This update is optional and can be ignored without affecting the functionality of Zen 2.2.2.
There is currently no set timeline for a correction, so please don’t be upset if you are instructed to check this notice when requesting any HEC services. The timeframe for resolution could range from 24 hours to 24 months, and we won’t have a definite answer until we look into it.
This notice will be revised once we receive additional details. Thank you for your understanding.
Avoid updating the PS5 operating system or opt for an alternative method for using the PS5 remotely as a temporary fix.
The quality of games on Xbox is also impacted.
Microsoft has not taken action on the issue, but Cronus products have negatively impacted gameplay in shooting games on Xbox consoles. Additionally, the company provides features that enable the use of keyboards and mice on Xbox, allowing players to compete against those using console controllers, which significantly affects the gaming experience.
